Hey Jay jay. Im danish, and have just been making a show for my grandmothers birthsday-party. In the start i was VERY VERY nervous, but right after i was great. A good tip is: Use self-working tricks as the first, or the two first ones. It get’s you started, and maked you comfotable( don’t know how to spell it) – with your performance. – Victor

Great stuff guys….thanks for the pro tips. I am just starting out in magic but have been fascinated by it since I was a boy (I am now 51..still a big kid at heart). I love putting smiles on peoples faces by performing tricks that baffle and amaze them and if I can do that then “my work here is done”. Please keep the tips and the great trick coming. Cheers!

Hey Jay Jay,

I teach several magic clubs at a few of the local middle schools and your tips are like what I tell my students. I give them what I call the “5 rules of Magic.” 1. Never tell how a trick is done. It ruins the mystique of the magic. 2. Never perform the same trick twice in a row for the same audience. The first time, they have no idea what’s going to happen, and if you repeat it, they will start to figure it out no matter how good you are. 3. Practice, practice, practice, and practice some more. When you are done practicing some more, practice again because you can never practice enough. 4. Have fun because that is what magic is all about. AND finally, #5: the biggest secret of magic. There is no such thing as magic! There is a logical reason for every trick and illusion. The REAL magic is in the presentation. Anyone can learn a trick, but a true magician is an entertainer, an actor playing the part of a magician.
