I’ve just received BAD news. Not just bad, worse. I still don’t know how to digest the fact that…

My YouTube Account Has Been Suspended

Yeah, gone.

4 years ago I had this vague idea of starting a video blog where I could share
my passion for magic with the world. To help people get started in the art and
build the confidence and knowledge needed to become a real performer.

Three months later, after countless nights in front of the computer I had
everything set up and ready to launch. I uploaded my first video to youtube and
opened this very video blog: Free Magic Live.

Today, 3 years have passed, and it still seems like it was yesterday when i hit
the upload button for the first time.

Today… is a sad day.

My name is Jay Jay and I’m a magician, not the usual kind that does birthday
parties or restaurant gigs -well, I’m not going to lie, I do that sometimes
hehe- but I’m more of a “youtube magician”.

At least that’s what my 89 year old grandma calls me. Yay…

She was the toughest one to convince that my full time job was teaching people
magic tricks over the internet.

I can close my eyes and see her “no-way face”… scary

For some people it might be hard to believe but youtube was the core of my
business.

With over 15,000 YT subscribers and 49,000 people on FML’s email list, YouTube
brought me everything a 23 year old “kid” could want.

I had built my own business. I was in control… or at least I thought I was.

Today… is a sad day.

All my videos are gone. Free Magic Live is broken. Nothing makes sense.

I wish I knew the right magic trick that would bring me my account back.

But I’m not a real wizard.

I’m just a kid with a shredded dream, and a little crystal bottle with a label
that reads “hope”, in lower caps…

And a community! My real friends.

I wish I knew the right magic trick so I could teach you, to help me out here.

This feeling of uncertainty is terrifying, and I need you by my side.

This is my message to YouTube.

To whoever holds the “ban hammer” up there… think of a card.

Now change your mind and make it the the ace of hearts…

And bring my videos back!

Step 1:
Log in to your Youtube account and go to your
channel.

Step 2:
Click the button ‘Modules’ then make sure the
‘Other Channels’ box is clicked. Then press
save changes.

Step 3:
Scroll down your page and you will find this new
category called, “Other Channels”. Click edit
which should be closer to the top right of the
box.

Step 4:
A box should appear with two spaces to add text.
First one is called, ‘title’ where you can call
it, Friends You Need To Follow and there should
be an empty box underneath that.

Step 5:
In that box please write, freemagiclive.

Step 6:
Once you have done this, press save changes, then
refresh the page. You will now see on your page if
you scroll down, a section called, Friends You Need
To Follow with freemagiclive’s small details.

Step 7:
Last step is to copy your youtube name into the
youtube competition video comments area, so I can
double check freemagiclive is in your friends to
follow and then once that is cool, you are in
running for this awesome prize!

If you did not know, we started on April 1st 2009 (that’s right, April Fools Day).
