Sleight Of Hand – How To Make A Card Disappear… For Real!

Card Flourish Revealed: Simple Sleight Of Hand Move For Cutting The Deck With One Hand Only

I’ve always wondered how the heck to top magicians cut a deck of cards with only one hand!

Today, Jay Jay let’s me in on the secret and shows me step-by-step how to do this very powerful sleight of hand move.

When you try it for the first few times, it WILL feel awkward. But as you keep on practicing, you’ll find that it becomes easier and easier.

And that’s the real trick with all powerful magic – practice, practice, practice. The real trick is to get the “moves” embedded into your sub-conscious mind. And the ONLY way of doing that, is to practice the moves over and over until they become like second nature.

You can compare it somewhat to learning how to ride a bike – at first it’s really hard to find your balance and it feels like you have a million things to think about. But as you get on your bike more and more, you start getting the hang of it, and before you know it, you can hop on your bike for a ride and not even think about how it all works. You just do it cos it has gone into your sub-conscious mind!

It’s exactly the same with these magic tricks and moves – just practice heaps and at some point it will all come naturally to you without you even thinking about it!

Revealed! The Four Kings Enigma Magic Card Trick

Learn How To Roll A Coin Over Your Fingers (Tutorial)

If you really want to impress people, rolling a coin over your fingers has got to be at the top of the list.

Not only will it make you look cool, but it will give you instant credibility as someone who knows what they’re doing, even before you show them any other tricks!

Getting a coin to roll smoothly over your fingers will take a lot of practice, but if you put in the effort like I did, not only will you reap the rewards of just feeling cool when doing it, but people will also take you more seriously when you do your magic.

Extra Practicing Tips

Balance the coin on your thumb for a few days to get to a high enough level of dexterity.
Take each movement between your fingers slowly and if you mess up, do not worry, just start again.
Use a larger coin as it is easier to control.
When you can perform the sleight, start increasing the speed a little… but not too much. Over time the speed at which you can roll the coin over your fingers will naturally increase in any case.
Practice this sleight of hand on top of your bed, because you will drop the coin a lot at the beginning. Even I still drop the coin sometimes, and I’ve performed it a fair few times now!

Today’s magic trick uses a more advanced sleight of hand technique. Because it’s more advanced, and also more difficult to learn, you will need to practice this one a lot more than any of the other easy ones before performing it in front of a live audience.

Extra Tips For Rounding This Magic Trick Off

Make the magic move look as natural as possible.
Practice the move 10 times in the morning and 10 times at night and in a few days you will have mastered it.
Find a cool story to put with the trick. People love stories!
Do not rush through the trick, do it slowly.
Make sure you show this trick to as many people as possible once you’ve mastered the sleight completely.

Hi Everyone,

Today I’m showing you a very simple, but still very powerful illusion using a deck of cards, a smile and a bit of acting. You can use this trick on anyone, but as you can see, this time it worked pretty sweetly on the ladies

Some Extra Pointers

Let them shuffle the deck before you start.
I always turn over the bottom card as they show the card to their friends. Trust me, you have plenty of time.
Once again, just because it is easy, it does not mean the trick is not magical. You saw the surprise on the faces of the two girls when I did the trick. Enough said!
Use your acting skills and build the trick up as much as you can. Remember, it’s not always just the trick that is the magic. It’s everything else that goes on “behind the scenes” as well.
And once again, practice this trick lots. Especially the bit where you flip the card with your one hand behind your back. You’ll want this to come across as smooth as possible.

I will give you the power to find your favourite card with a little bit of static electricity.

Some Extra Pointers

Because the trick is easy, use some patter (presentation) to make it your own trick.
Make sure you remove your little finger after you pull of the card. Otherwise your audience will know how it’s done!
You could also get someone to choose a card and control it to the top, then use the secret move to find their card!
Practice, practice, practice! The more you practice, the better you’ll get at this trick. It’s a sleight of hand, so you have to put in the practice.

Make the magician force as smooth as possible. You want your audience thinking its a free choice selection.
Once you know the card, use your imagination to make the card known in any way. That is, you can send it via txt message, make a prediction on a piece of paper, put a duplicate card in a bag or wallet…whatever really. Just go nuts with it. The crazier the better the effect!
