Extra Sensory Perception Trick – Slight Of Hand Magic Card Trick Makes People Think You Are Psychic

Hey Everyone!

Jay Jay here…

Hope you guys have been great. You know what is scary other than this trick?

6 months to go till 2010!

Anyway, let me just say this trick is something I perform all the time.

Why?

Because everything is controlled by your spectator. They shuffle, they give you a number between 1-52 and they find your chosen card.

Check the video out and let me know your thoughts inside the comments area right below this video…

EXTRA TIPS

Let someone in your audience shuffle before you do this trick and then find your favorite card and put it on the bottom.
Practice the secret magic move over and over so it’s really smooth.
Make sure the secret move looks natural.
Remember to have fun and perform it to as many people as possible. The more you perform, the better you will get.

Great trick! I think I could use this as a force and use it in longer card routines. Also do you think yohu could teach some flourishes like the W.E.R.M.? Nice trick anyway.

Hey Jay Jay,
Have yo ggot any extra tips on how to do the actual glide move becuase I find it hard to move the card back with my fingers. So instead ,because I am left handed, I have to use my right fingers to push back the bottom card which sometimes can lead to revealing the trick. So if you have any extra tips I would love to here them.

Some people might figure it out, because you name the card, they may think you already setted up the trick. Just to give a little advice, to people that are watching the video, that you should do some fake shuffle or make them pick the card and force it down to the deck.

Just a warning, if they pick the number 52 you will need to start counting from the top and forget about the glide.

This is also a nice way of revealing a card if you can control the card to the bottom, and also that way it is their card at their number, which is even better!

hey guys.
another variation could be where u give the spectator to shuffle the deck.av dem pick a card n simply controlling it to the bottom.from there follow the same procedure of the glide and end up with the reveal.can b done with a borrowed deck as well.

Glide could be really useful if I could get the card they chose to the bottom of the deck. I found this can be done using the overhand shuffle with a slight difference; Get their card to the top & then in-jog that card… puts it on the bottom if you continue to do the shuffle normally from there.

Once you get their card on the bottom, have them pick a number and do the glide trick that jay jay just showed.

Hmm nice idea, but it will be more powerful if you use one of card-shaping movement called Second deal (‘couse it looks a bit strange when u start counting cards from the bottom) I think =)

First, I must appologize my English. I am not English.
I don’t know why you all are writing that this trick is so cool etc. This method is good, but not cool. It’s only one of many methods for any advanced magician. I think that here are not only beginner magicians. I am sure that many advanced magicians look up here. So that was in my mind.

From the other hand, this page is great for any who want to learn some easy magic trick for fun. Of course also for beginner magicians.
