FAQ
The videos do not work. What can I do to fix them?
Try this first…
In some cases, the videos on this website might not work for you when you click on them. The most common cases are:
- The videos do not load and play at all after clicking on it.
- The initial video area is just black and when you click on the video, nothing happens.
- The initial video area is just black and when you click on the video, only the sound plays.
This problem could be due to several reasons, but the most likely cause could be because you don’t have the latest version of an application called “Flash” installed onto your computer.
But don’t worry, it’s real easy to fix!
Simply go to the Flash website, and then download and install the latest version of Flash onto your computer.
Here’s the link:
Flash Website: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
If this still does not work, try this…
If you’re using Internet Explorer:
- Clean our your internet cache (see instructions here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx)
- Then hit refresh on the page where you were watching the video
- Then try to watch the video again
If you’re using Firefox:
Please find the instructions for clearing the Firefox Cached data in step-by-step format below:
- Open your Firefox web browser.
- Select “Tools -> Options” from the file menu at the top of the browser window.
- Select the “Privacy” option/tab at the top of the window.
- In the “Private Data” section, click the “Clear Now” button.
- You will now be asked which items you want to clear. Please ensure that the “Cache” option is selected. If you are uncertain of the other options, please untick these items.
- Click the “Clear Private Data Now” button to proceed.
- This window will close automatically on completion of this process. Now click the “OK” button from the “Options” window to close this window.
- Close and restart your Firefox web browser and try navigating back to the Aweber page that was previously not working.
This should fix the problem in most cases.
It may also be a good idea to press play to start the video, and then press the pause button a few seconds later. Then wait until the whole video has downloaded before you hit the play button again.
