Hey everyone

Magical G here – the guy behind the camera…

Jay Jay and I recorded this video in the foyer of the building that I live in. I was not quite sure what to expect this time from Jay Jay, but when he showed me the trick, I first thought that he had some special prop or something to make him do the trick – cos the effect looked SO cool!

But as you will see when you watch the video, there are no special magical props with this classic coin trick. All you need are some real coins… and… well… some pants!

Watch closely how Jay Jay creates distraction with where he places his attention, and you’ll learn a few interesting things – he caught me out the first time, but then he showed me how it works – pretty cool!

Hi Everyone,

Today I’m showing you a very simple, but still very powerful illusion using a deck of cards, a smile and a bit of acting. You can use this trick on anyone, but as you can see, this time it worked pretty sweetly on the ladies :)

Some Extra Pointers

  • Let them shuffle the deck before you start.
  • I always turn over the bottom card as they show the card to their friends. Trust me, you have plenty of time.
  • Once again, just because it is easy, it does not mean the trick is not magical. You saw the surprise on the faces of the two girls when I did the trick. Enough said!
  • Use your acting skills and build the trick up as much as you can. Remember, it’s not always just the trick that is the magic. It’s everything else that goes on “behind the scenes” as well.
  • And once again, practice this trick lots. Especially the bit where you flip the card with your one hand behind your back. You’ll want this to come across as smooth as possible.

Hi Everyone,

Got another free cool magic trick for you…

I will give you the ability to read someone’s mind!

Check out the video and make sure you practise the sneaky little sleight (also known as the “magic move”). Once you are smooth at performing the illusion, you can use it for the rest of your Magic Journey.

Some Extra Pointers

  • Make the magician force as smooth as possible. You want your audience thinking its a free choice selection.
  • Once you know the card, use your imagination to make the card known in any way. That is, you can send it via txt message, make a prediction on a piece of paper, put a duplicate card in a bag or wallet…whatever really. Just go nuts with it. The crazier the better the effect!
  • Have fun with this!
  • Practice, practice, practice! The more you practice, the better you’ll get at this trick. It’s a sleight of hand, so you have to put in the practice.
